Harper Adams University

GB United Kingdom

Scientific Expertise: Agriculture related to crop production, soil biology and cultivation, applied plant biology, crop protection

Motivation: I am at the start of my research journey and would enjoy building connections with a network of stakeholders involved with evidence synthesis throughout the agri-food sector. Being a part of the working groups would enable me to gain valuable experience in knowledge exchange, evidence synthesis and decision and policy making, all of which are highly transferrable skills that would enhance my PhD project and support my future career.

Contribution: I recently completed a research placement at University of Birmingham where I had the opportunity to engage with the farming community. As part of the placement, we completed several farm visits and semi-structured interviews. I developed the skills to communicate research to non-experts and I believe these skills could be transferred to the working groups. I also enjoy participating in knowledge exchange events and would like to help communicate and share the outcomes of the EU-NESA Action with a wide audience.
