Scientific Expertise: Agriculture related to crop production, soil biology and cultivation, applied plant biology, crop protection

Motivation: My motivation stems from a commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture through evidence-based policymaking and practical innovation. By joining, I aim to bridge the gap between scientific research and agricultural practice, particularly in Southeastern Europe, and contribute my expertise in crop production, plant health, and phytosanitary measures. I am eager to collaborate with international peers to improve methodologies, foster capacity building, and develop strategic recommendations that support resilient and sustainable food systems. Participating in this COST Action will enhance my competencies, broaden my collaborative network, and allow me to share my experience with both academia and policymakers.

Contribution: I plan to contribute actively to Working Groups 2 and 4. In WG2, I am prepared to assist in developing training materials, workshops, and tools that enhance competencies in evidence synthesis among researchers and practitioners. For WG4, I bring experience in working closely with policymakers and decision-makers, particularly through my roles as EFSA focal point and national contact for the Cartagena Protocol. I will contribute by facilitating knowledge transfer and helping tailor communication strategies to strengthen the science-policy interface. My combined academic and regulatory background enables me to bridge gaps between research and practice, ensuring that outputs are both scientifically sound and practically applicable, particularly in smaller and transitioning agricultural systems.
