Scientific Expertise: Development, economic growth, competitiveness
Motivation: Joining the COST Action represents a unique opportunity to advance my research in sustainable economic practices and short food supply chains. My extensive background in food and rural economics, coupled with a strong focus on sustainable development, aligns perfectly with the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of COST Action. Having managed and participated in numerous projects, I am eager to contribute to and learn from this diverse network. This platform will enable me to tackle contemporary challenges and foster innovation in sustainable practices across Europe. Collaborating with leading experts and engaging with cutting-edge research will significantly enhance my contributions to projects, especially in the realms of the circular economy and rural development. Participation in this initiative will not only enrich my academic career but also support the development of practical solutions for sustainable progress at both local and regional levels.
Contribution: In the "Setting the Scene: Assessing the Current State of Evidence Synthesis in Agri-Food" working group, I will leverage my expertise in food and rural economics to evaluate the current landscape of evidence synthesis in the agri-food sector. By identifying key trends and gaps, I aim to develop a comprehensive framework that highlights effective policies and practices in sustainable agri-food systems. For the "Community Building, Dissemination, and Communication" working group, I plan to enhance the visibility and impact of our findings. My experience in managing international projects and engaging with diverse stakeholders will be crucial in disseminating our research to a wider audience. I will organize workshops and webinars to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, ensuring our work resonates with various communities and promotes innovative sustainable practices. Through these efforts, I aim to make significant contributions to both the assessment and outreach aspects of our group’s objectives.
